   Dr. Charles D. Schmitz & Dr. Elizabeth A. Schmitz Simple Things Matter in Love and Marriage Drs. Charles and Elizabeth Schmitz, authors specializing in love and marriage, required a new website to promote their latest books and make a stronger connection with their audience. Although they had built websites themselves before, they decided to hire Atom to help give the site an extra level of sophistication and functional reliability. The authors opted not to build the site on a content management system, despite having a large amount of content. In order to ease the process of making global changes to the site, Atom developed the site using Dreamweaver templates. This allows them to be able to change many pages at once, with a minimal time investment. The visual design is based loosely on a color palette provided by the authors, and is built for visual clarity and to express the gentle warmth of a strong, loving relationship. Also part of the scope was to theme a Wordpress blog to match the site, and to integrate it seamlessly into the navigation. Search engine optimization was a primary concern for the site, and it was designed and built with the necessary foundation in place to make it happen. |
